Clutch components for motorsports
The last few years have seen a huge increase in demand for strengthened and reinforced clutch components. In producing clutches with great resistance to wear and tear, we ensure that we fulfil the requirements of each individual client.
We classify clutches for use in motorsports into the following groups:
Reinforced clutches for private „on road“ cars
-
If a vehicle is subjected to particularly heavy loads (such as when used as a tow truck for trailers) or for chip tuning, a conventional mass produced clutch will not be able to withstand the stresses. A pressure plate with increased pressure force and a driver plate furnished with the abrasion-resistant coating, will vastly increase performance time and transfer values. The workshop team can grind down and lighten the friction plate on request. After completion, all clutch components should undergo the fine balancing process.
Reinforced clutches for competition vehicles
-
High performance engines require optimised clutch components to transfer the occurring forces from the engine to the gearbox. The choice of appropriate clutch assemblies depends generally more on the durability than on driving comfort. A retrofit to a multiple plate clutch will be necessary once the force transfer is no longer feasible using a single plate clutch.

As partners of ZF-Sachs-Racing (www.zf.com/sachs-race-engineering) we are able to offer a clutch package adapted to your vehicle.
Reinforced clutches for agricultural machines and utility vehicles
-
A rebuild of mass produced clutch assemblies to suit use and loads is always possible. A much higher surface pressure can be achieved by replacing the plate spring. If sinter segments are used as lining materials on the driver plate, the clutch can transfer thermals stresses of up to 500 °C. All bespoke products undergo fine balancing after completion.

Production of a migrating force clutch according to the guidelines issued by DTTO (Deutsche Trecker-Treck Organisation e.V.). All clutch materials consist of abrasion-resistant special steel. The sinter segments can withstand temperatures of up to 1000 °C. Depending on the number of integrated driver plates, transfers of engine performance to 4000 PS can be transferred. The material certificates for DTTO testing are handed over when the TT clutches are delivered.
